Designer Dossier: Burberry

One of my favorite designer brands has always, and most likely will always be Burberry.  Whether it is Burberry or Burberry Prorsum, either one has an exquisite taste for bringing simple luxury to life.  Every collection that they create elevates a simple aspect of life and takes it to the next level.  Their current collection for this Winter is no exception.  Blending rich tones and subtle neutrals, this collection howls elegance and sophistication.  The designers at Burberry are able to add the element of surprise within each designed accessory.

This collection particularly grabs my interest because they used hunting as an inspirational influence.  Being that I am from the Northwest, hunting is a huge inspiration around here.  Now I am not the biggest fan of camouflage however, I do love the cute and furry animals (preferably alive, not stuffed and mounted onto a wall or mantle place).  And Burberry seemed to have found some of the same inspiration.

With this seasons collection you can easily become one "FOXY" lady.  The brand centered its focus for their designs around the hunting idea with influences such as: ducks, owls, and fox's.  After reviewing their collection I found that the most intriguing of the three is by far the fox.  They used it in so many different and creative ways with all of their products.  From the detailing on their clutch all the way to their jewelry and even belts.  I have included pictures of my favorite items from this winter collection to showcase how to become one foxy lady while in Burberry.

As I find myself decorating my new apartment for the holidays, and my up-coming book club meeting.  I start to wonder what items would really add to my home and help make the festivities feel more welcoming.  A few items of course come to mind, some new blankets or new accent pillows.  However, one in particular sticks out to me, a decanter.  By definition it is an ornamental glass bottle that holds wine, brandy, whiskey, etc.  Now this is not an item that you would normally see on the shelf of any generic store.  It is somewhat like a scavenger hunt to find one that appeals to your taste and style.  Throughout the course of the last few months I have seen them in television shows such as: Gossip Girl, Revenge, Scandal, and many others.

Now I am a woman who enjoys a glass of wine, or whiskey on the occasion and instead of having regular bottles that have labels of all different colors and textures that might not necessarily add to my homes aesthetic appeal, I would rather have something more... classy, and elegant.  There are many places to find decanters such as:  Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, even places on the other end of the spectrum such as TJ Maxx and Target.  So as I decorate my home I hope that this has inspired you to do the same... Happy Holidays and Happy Hunting!
