Backyard Hangout

There is nothing better than being able to hangout and relax in your own backyard! In fact it's one of my favorite parts about the summer! It's also another excuse to dress more casual than usual!  For different people that means different things... In my case it means wearing wedges and a cute dress.

I love basic shift dresses, you can dress them up or down and the silhouette never goes out of style.  And if you pick one in a basic color with minimal or no print your chances of being able to use it all year round greatly increase.  In the summertime dresses tend to be my go to, they're easy to throw on and easy to accessorize.  Not to mention when it's hot out they help keep you cool!  For me personally I like to wear wedges when I got to bbq's or hangout with the fam... Mainly because heels and grass DO NOT mix!  So if I were to give you one piece of advice it would be to invest in a cute pair of wedges in a neutral color you could wear with a variety of outfits for this summer!  Check in tomorrow for my favorite summer shoes and how to wear them to all of the fun events your going to this summer!

Happy Monday everyone!!!  I am so excited for this time of year, I love the warm weather and all of the sunshine!  The fact that I can wear dresses and shorts more often always seems to be the icing on the cake!  Plus it's proven that vitamin D (aka sunlight) makes you happier!  And who doesn't want to be happier!?! 

The warm weather this time of year not only allows us to dress a little more risky and comfortable, but it also lets us be a little more creative with our outfits.  Being able to express yourself through what you wear is one of the reasons I love fashion so much.  You can easily change your outfit to match your mood just by a change of accessories.  I don't know about you guys but some days I'm in a completely different mood than others... For example: some days I'm feeling a little bohemian, and others I'm feeling a little more put together and classic.

This outfit was a mixture of both a bohemian and classic!  The moment I saw this dress I knew it was coming home with me!  The print and the colors just screamed out to me.  How do you guys like the print and color combo?
