Golden Fem

( Photos by Adam Kellett )

( Shelley Beckett tunic and Steve Madden heels )

Every now and then a gal just needs some sunshine in her life, and this tunic embodies just that.  I've had this hidden gem in my closet for quit some time now, and decided it was time to take it for a test run.  I picked it up at Kitson a few years back while out on a shopping spree with one of the girls.  The thing that attracted me to it most was the fact that I could wear it any season, and with just about anything. The snakeskin shoes were just the icing on top of the cake for this one! They had a similar color like the detailing on the blouse and completely took it to the next level!

Jungle Royale

( Photos by Adam Kellett )

( Billabong monokini, unknown cover up from Buffalo Exchange )

Sometimes I like to step outside the box and do things you would not normally see.  I like the idea of using something in a different way than was originally intended.  I just got this great blouse from Buffalo exchange and was eager to try out this concept.  I liked the idea of using it as a cover up because it was sheer and had a similar effect.  It just seemed to work with the look I was going for! I kept the rest of my look simple because the blouse had such a great print.  Overall this is a great look for anyone, and would even be cute over a bikini!

Feed USA

( Photos by Brittany Gross )

(Feed the USA tank at Target, BCBG power skirt, vintage rings, necklace, hat, and Jessica Simpson Wedges )

Once I saw the ad for Targets new line and campaign "Feed the USA", I knew I had to be apart of it.  The whole campaign is based around the idea that "with every purchase, you help provide meals to children and families across America".  How cool is that!  Like I said, I knew I had to be apart of it!  Not only are you getting a new "Statement" item to add to your summer wardrobe, but you are also helping others.  It doesn't get much better than that.  For example: the tank that I am wearing cost $15 but helps to feel 12 different children!  For more information you can go to http://www.target.com/c/feed-usa/-/N-55tua#?lnk=snav_rd_feed&orginalSearchTerm=feed+usa

Graffiti in the Streets

( Photos by Samantha Rudin and myself )

( Diesel hoodie, BCBG blouse and leggings, and unknown boots from Buffalo Exchange)

A few years ago a close friend of mine and I went to this amazing exhibit at MOCA (Museum Of Contemporary Art) in downtown Los Angeles.  The exhibit was titled Graffiti in the Streets, and encompassed everything from actual graffiti, artwork by Obey, and even displayed set-ups of alley ways.  Over-all it was a very interesting exhibit.  It was really inspiring to see all of the different ways that people interpret art. Especially on the streets, the fact that someone can see art out of something that most people take for granted is absolutely extraordinary.

What's in my Burberry

I have noticed that usually the bigger the purse, the more I seem to put in it.  A few years ago I found an amazing Burberry purse while I was out hitting the vintage stores.  I fell in love instantly!  And of course, it ended up coming home with me the same day!  It has been a great staple in my wardrobe ever since.  Especially while I am traveling.  It's big enough to be able to hold a magazine but small enough that I don't feel like I'm carrying a duffle-bag around with me.

Here's whats in my Burberry handbag:

I phone 4s with a case from Rue21
Planner and journal so that I can stay organized and never forget any ideas I may have
Guess wallet ( I love the print on it! )
Ray Ban sunglasses ( my basic and usually my go to pair )
Chanel make up brush
Rimmel London bronzer ( a girl can never look too sun-kissed )
Chanel nail color: Blue Satin ( for any chips I may get before a mtng or photoshoot )
ChapStick: Cherry flavor (its been a staple since I was a kid)
Hand sanitizer ( when you travel a lot, it is a necessity! )

Whats in your handbag!?! show me on Instagram and use #myhandbag to show it off, I cannot wait to see what you ladies travel with!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

I am so pleased to present to you my first Fourth of July post EVER!  One of my good friends and I decided to do a themed photo shoot just for today!  I scoured my closet and room until I found some sunglasses I had completely forgotten about, they were perfect for the look I was going for.  I chose to go with the all-American laid back aesthetic.  It is by far one of my go to favorites, and definitely the most comfortable.

We have also decided to do a photo shoot tonight so that all of you can see how we are spending our Fourth of July for 2013! Stay tuned for pics to come on the next post!  I hope all of you have an AMAZING day and night!
