Giving Thanks

Today is a day for giving thanks and being with the ones you love.  I am extremely grateful for so many things. One of the things I am most thankful for is my family, not only have they helped encourage me throughout my who life, but they also have been through my journey with me every step of the way! 

I am also grateful for all of the opportunities that continue to come my way. Everyday a new door opens and amazing things happen.  With the amazing people I am surrounded by on a daily basis I don't think I could be more grateful! 

I love a good reason to get dressed up and wear something that makes a statement!  Today I opted for a sequin skirt, comfy sweater, and my favorite Michael Kors ankle boots!  Such a casual and fun look!

I don't know about you guys, but I love receiving things in the mail! It so exciting and kind of old school. The idea that something is on its way to you but you have to wait and let the excitement build, is such a nice contrast to our instant gratification world we live in.  Which brings me to my point...a new company called Julep!

I am currently obsessed with my new Michael Kors ankle boots I picked up about a month ago! I have been pairing them with just about everything...jeans, dresses, skirts.... You name it I've paired it!  

Currently I am in the Pacific Northwest visiting family, and in case many of you don't know, it is extremely cold! Ergo the need to dress warm as much as possible!  The other day I decided to go hangout downtown where all of the fruit packing warehouses are, it's so industrial and country at the same time, I just love the environment!  Not to mention it makes for a cool scenery to shoot in!

Diablo Lake Project

One of my close friends decided to do this amazing project titled "Wanderlust Weddings" the whole concept was to showcase beautiful areas that are normally unseen.  We chose bronzed gold accents with turquoise detailing to go with the bohemian theme we had picked out.  For this specific photo shoot Jessica chose Diablo Lake which is located in the North Cascades, and is a beautiful hidden gem most people don't know about.

Let me tell you what, it was raining all day, but the lake was still just as aqua as the water in the Caribbean.  It was ABSOLUTELY breathtaking.  The pictures just do not do it justice!  After a very successful and long day of traveling and shooting, the finished product was better than we could ever have imagined.  Jessica has since then continued her series and you can check the rest of it out on her website at http://jmhunterphotography.com.

Casual Sunday

  

I love Sundays!  Mostly because it usually calls for casual attire, mixed with a little bit of edge.  Yesterday of corse was no exception to this concept... My day was filled with running errands and getting caught up on work! So therefore comfort was a huge element to my look.  

 I will say, I absolutely LOVE my Mossimo sweaters from target I picked up a few weeks ago, they go with everything, come in every color, AND you can dress them up or down.  I chose to dress mine down here, but they also look amazing with a great tailored suit for fall!  Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

A few years ago a fellow designer had made me this beautiful dress, and although I have yet to wear it in a formal capacity I loved the idea of wearing it as an everyday look to a meeting.  I paired it with my new Michael Kors wool coat and heels to update it for the fall!  What do you think about this pairing?

I picked up this super awesome blouse a few months ago and ended up wearing it as a top over my swim suit to the pool when I was in Palm Springs.  Although after that I decided that I loved it so much I wanted to keep integrating it into my wardrobe, so here it is.  Yet again, my Bar III blouse that has endless possibilities!
