Plaid + Quilted leather

( Photos by Jared Freeman )

I took these pics the week of Valentine's Day as a fun take on pleather and ways to make it fashion forward yet still casual! I liked the idea of mixing the harsh feel of the pleather with the soft chiffon plaid blouse.  Together they balanced each other out and created a casual aesthetic to the outfit.

I started cuffing my skinnies a while ago and have yet to stop doing it.  It all started with them being too long for what I wanted my look to be with a certain outfit, and then turned into my everyday thing.  Now I'm cuffing my skinnies every time I wear them!  I know this isn't appealing to most for their own personal reasons but I LOVE it!  What do you think about cuffing skinnies?

Hope everyone has had a great week so far!  Next week I will be sharing some exciting new projects with all of you!

After spending the weekend hanging out in mountains with some of my best friends, I am extremely relieved to be back to my semi-normal schedule and routine.  Although I am currently packing for my trip to Los Angeles later today, I am thrilled to be able to be home.  Even if it is temporary.  My trip to Los Angeles has been in the works for a few months now and is for a project I have been working very hard on!  I will be revealing it to you guys on tomorrow's blog post!

This look here is one I put together last week for a stroll around downtown, which is by far one of my favorite areas to go.  I feel like I really channeled my inner Rachel Zoe on this one!  Overall I loved the aesthetic of this look, and the idea of keeping in simple with the color palette.  The whole outfit pulled together flawlessly with the detailed jacket and rings.  What are your thoughts?

Ombre Denim

(Photos by Jared Freeman )

This last week I had the pleasure of strolling around downtown and just enjoying the afternoon off (which is extremely rare these days).  Between my upcoming fashion show, and working my normal job, it has been a super busy year so far!  I feel as if I'm always on the go, and to be honest.... I LOVE it!  I have always been a person who loves to stay busy!  But since my schedule has gotten more intense... I feel as though I have adapted a more laid back version of myself lately.  I find myself opting for a denim look instead of dresses and flat boots instead of heels!  I will admit it is a nice change from wearing heels all of the time, and always being cold in this crazy winter weather!

I have always LOVED spots and am always challenging myself to find new ways to wear them... In this outfit I opted to wear it with a denim ombre button up for a more casual look.  I loved the idea of accenting the whole outfit with gold detailing, and of course pulling the whole thing together with my trusty sidekick... My I-Phone!  I hope everyone is having a great Friday!

LOVE

( Photos by Jared Freeman )

Friday as we all know was Valentine's Day!  A day for showing the ones you care about just how much you love them.  A day for spreading the love in ways we normally don't because of our hectic and busy lives that we all live.  Well... I decided to do a post just for you, my fellow fashionista's and followers!  You are all so amazing and inspiring, and I would not be where I am without you!  I am so grateful for all of you, and you are all so truly special to me!  I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day!
