Last week I enjoyed being back in Los Angeles for a brief vacation, that also included going to Palm Springs for the weekend.  I must say one of the many highlights of my week other than getting to see some of my closest friends was the SHOPPING!  Many people have asked me if I would showcase what I bought, so here you go... All of my purchases, as well as where you can get them, all in ONE place for you to check out!

Waiting

( Photos by Jared Freeman )

( Patterson J Kincaid blouse, American Eagle shorts, Lucky Brand necklace, BCBG MaxAzria rings and clutch, and Velvet Angels heels )

Even though I have a car, I still like to take the train every now and then.  There's just something about waiting for the train that makes me feel like a giddy little child again.  Hence the inspiration for this photo shoot.
I wanted to embrace the comfy atmosphere of taking the train, while still having a fashion appeal.  For anyone who knows me that means heels and jewelry!

Integration

( Photos by Jared Freeman )

( Ann Taylor blouse, American Eagle shorts and sunnies, vintage necklace and bracelets, BCBG MaxAzria rings, Coach handbag, and Jessica Simpson boots )

My transition into fall has officially begun its journey.  I have found myself starting to integrate pieces into my wardrobe on an almost daily basis.  Whether its boots, a jacket, or scarf, they are easing their way in.  The transition began mostly with boots, demonstrated here in this look.  I love the feel of boots with shorts, a dress, or a skirt.  It mixes two completely different feels to get a ying and yang effect.  I think this might just have to be my theme for fall!

How are you mixing fall into your summer wardrobe?  #fallwear on Instagram to show us!

Burgundy Babe

( Photos by Jared Freeman )

( Soprano blouse, Trouve shorts, BCBG jewelry, vintage hat and bracelet, Nine West belt, American Eagle sunnies, and Jessica Simpson heels )

One of my favorite colors has ALWAYS been burgundy.  It comes in and out of my wardrobe throughout the year.  Being inspired by all of the amazing rich tones for fall I decided to give you a little preview of what I'll be wearing for fall this year!  I know, I know....It seems crazy that summer is nearly over and we are getting ready to transition back to layering and deeper color palettes.  But it is, and we are.

What are you wearing for fall this year?  Post pics on Instagram with #fallwear to show off your fall style!

Birds Point of View

( Photos by Marc Cabanig )

( BCBG tank, Billabong bikini bottom, American Eagle shorts, handmade feather leg detail, and Sam Edelman shoes )

The first time I met Marc he was doing a photo shoot with someone on the sidewalk in downtown LA.  They were both laughing and having such a great time, it made me so curious.  As I passed by, Marc asked if I would want to do a photo shoot with him sometime.  Being the spontaneous, outgoing, and opportunistic person I am, of course I said yes!  A few weeks later we put together some ideas, and came up with the idea to do something really different and out there.  This is what we came up with.  A bright and colorful way of showing a "birds point of view"  I hope you all enjoy these pictures as much as we did!

Damsel in distress

( Photos by Adam Kellett )

( Vintage lace over dress, BCBG skirt, unknown bandeau, BCBG rings,  necklace, and Report Heels )

I have always loved the photo shoots that seem semi unrealistic for real life.  There's just something about wearing an outfit that would never work in reality for where you are.  For this occasion it turned out to be a very feminine outfit along a path of trees and bushes.  While we were shooting this, people were passing us by wearing their workout attire, and casual clothes.  Lets just say we got MORE than a few strange looks.  Regardless of the looks and the many unstable moments I had during this photo shoot.  The pictures turned out amazing.
