Apple Blossom Photo Diary

( Photos by Shawn Kruse and myself )

Apple Blossom is an event that happens once a year every year in Wenatchee, WA.  It was the first apple blossom in the country and is also the oldest festival in the state.  It was created to help celebrate the community and reflect on the importance of the apple industry.  Over the past few decades it has transformed into a more integrated festival.  There are now parades, a food festival, a beauty pageant, a carnival, and many other very entertaining activities.

Now this festival might be old in years, but it is not old in style.  The whole idea is to bring an urban edge to something historic.  From the concerts in the park to roaming the food fair it is easy to accomplish this.  I opted to wear super comfy and casual clothes due to the excessive heat.  The weather was so beautiful and was a luxury for this time of year.  This festival was a successful one and I plan on attending it again someday.
